From our orchards to your table

Grupo Frutas David’s orchards are strategically distributed across three regions, all of which are renowned for their stone fruit production in Spain and Europe due to their natural conditions, advanced agricultural infrastructure, and the fruit-growing tradition of their inhabitants. Each of these regions benefits from a climate with cold winters and warm summers, characteristics that are ideal for growing stone and pome fruits. The climatic conditions, with plenty of sunshine, allow for optimal ripening and a sweet flavor in the fruits. The soils are mostly fertile and well-suited for fruit growing, with good drainage and nutrient retention.

Fruit from any of these three regions is prized for its flavor, sweetness, and texture—qualities that result from the climatic conditions and the agricultural expertise of the local producers.

It is located in the southeast of the province of Huesca, Aragón. This is where Grupo Frutas David was founded and is one of the main fruit-growing regions in Europe, particularly known for its stone fruit production. It is primarily supplied with water from the Cinca River.

Located in the province of Zaragoza, in Aragón, this area combines agricultural tradition with technological advancements, having developed a strong reputation for producing high-quality fruits. This region is home to the earliest orchards, taking advantage of its altitude. Regarding irrigation, water from the Ebro River and the Mequinenza Reservoir is used, allowing for a stable and high-quality production.

Located in the province of Lérida (Lleida), Catalonia, it is also one of the main stone fruit production areas in Spain and Europe. The Segre River and the Ebro River are key sources of water, allowing for efficient and controlled irrigation, which is crucial for maintaining the quality and quantity of production.

Innovation and sustainability

Grupo Frutas David has firmly committed to innovation and sustainability in the design, development, and cultivation of its plantations. The use of advanced techniques, such as fertigation and climate monitoring, has not only optimized production but also minimized environmental impact.

The commitment to sustainability is also reflected in the efficient management of water resources and the reduction of chemical use, prioritizing more eco-friendly and natural alternatives for pest and disease control.

Quality control

All these practices, combined with the implementation of rigorous quality control measures at every stage of the production process, ensure that each harvested fruit meets the highest standards both nationally and internationally.

New varieties

Additionally, the company continuously works on researching new fruit varieties that are more flavorful for consumers and ensure a regular supply to the market by improving their resistance to adverse climatic conditions, always respecting the environment.
